Conference for Human(e) Software Development

Location

The conference will be held at Seminarzentrum Rückersbach. It's located about 50 kilometers from Frankfurt Airport and about 10 kilometers from Aschaffenburg, Hauptbahnhof. The centre has been used for many software-related events in the last 15 years and proven to be both in a nice area and very well suited for small to mid-size events.

The location is suitable for about 80 participants during the day, but it has not as many single rooms. We have currently reserved rooms for 40 participants, but could probably extend to 50 or 60.

Accessibility

The conference area, the restaurant area and most of the premise is wheelchair accessible; the same holds for most hotel rooms. Only one room is expressly build for wheelchair access, which we have blocked for the full time.

Travel

By Train

You can take a train to Aschaffenburg Hauptbahnhof, which has ICE (high-speed) connection. Find connections through Deutsche Bahn. From there you can either take a taxi (15 minutes) or use one of the rare bus connections (Every 2 hours, 1 change, 50-minute ride) to a stop called "Rückersbach Schlucht". It's another 10-minute walk from there.

By Plane

Fly to Frankfurt Airport (FRA). Use the train from there (see above).

By Car

Depending on where you come from, either exit highway A45 at "Karlstein/Hörstein" or highway A3 "Aschaffenburg / Goldbach West". Use your navigation system of choice to go to "Seminar-Zentrum Rückerbach". Parking is free at the location.

Ride Sharing

We will provide means to negotiate ride-sharing (from the station or elsewhere) among participants.
